The 11-degree target crown protects the rifling at the muzzle while leaving a clean, intentional finish line — no unfinished factory burr.
The crown cut treatment gives the barrel a sharper visual profile than the OEM bullnose and shifts the muzzle weight slightly forward — a small but noticeable change in recoil character for a slim-frame 9mm.
Run 100–150 rounds of standard-pressure 115gr or 124gr FMJ to seat the barrel before mixing in JHP or +P loads. Lube the inside top of the slide forward of the ejection port during break-in.
Confirm your pistol is a Glock 48 before ordering — the slimline G48 barrel will not fit the G43X (shorter barrel) or any double-stack Glock frame.
